  • *What is Vintage?
    Vintage is defined as clothing that is 20 years or more before the present day. Items are representative of individual eras in which it was produced. Vintage clothing is most often pre-owned manufactured, handmade or from dead stock.
  • *Where do you get your pieces?
    FGV items are acquired through private collections, Vintage and Estate Sales and resale shops.
  • *Who chooses your items?
    All pieces are hand picked by FGV no item is chosen just because it is from a past era. Items are picked because of style , quality , functionality and beauty. All items are adored, hard to part with and would be worn personally.
  • *What does MVC, EVC and GVC stand for?"
    These letters are in every product listing, it is to let you know the condition of the garment according to Fly Girl Vintage standards. MVC- Mint Vintage Condition no signs of flaws or defect item is in pristine vintage condition. EVC- Excellent Vintage Condition no notable flaws or defect outstanding vintage condition. GVC- Great Vintage Condition extremely good and in conventional vintage condition. NOTE: FGV never sells items that are not in a condition to be worn and would not be worn personally. Items that do not meet high standards never make it to the site for sale.
  • *How are items measured?
    Items are measured while laying flat across bust, waist, hips and the full length of the garment. Listed measurements should be doubled or multiplied by 2 for estimated sizing. For more information on sizing and purchasing vintage Click here.
  • *What to expect of garment conditions?
    Vintage items are pre-loved and pre-owned it is very rare to find vintage items that are in new or mint condition. It is expected to have normal aging of a vintage item and signs of pre-owner love. FGV strives to provide only the absolute best products in pristine vintage condition. Items are sold as is and dry cleaning is recommended before wearing.
  • *How do I care for my Fly Girl Vintage purchase?
    Your vintage garment should be cared for according to the garment care label if there is one. FGV suggest to only dry clean your garment. In addition, store your item carefully and treat the item as any other delicate and valued garment.
  • *Do you have sizing information?
    We try to include as much accurate sizing information for each product as possible. We have also added a how to measure and about sizing link. Please reference the size charts to help determine your size when ordering. Because sizing and cut will vary from different decades, era's and Designers please use this chart as a general guide to compare the various size scales. If you are between sizes or need assistance selecting the proper size, please contact FGV by email.
  • *Item Availability
    The item availability is listed in the product details page. All colors and sizes available will be shown and available to add to the shopping bag. Colors and sizes that are unavailable will be gray. Although we make every effort to keep sufficient stock of items listed on our site, occasionally we do sell out of certain products. If we are out of stock on an item that you've ordered, we will notify you via e-mail. Any changes will be reflected in your order total as well as your shipping confirmation.
